Eknath B. Madhavi Senior College of Arts, Commerce and Science considers its students, present as well as past, as an integral part of institution’s achievements and hopes. It always wanted to be connected to its students even after they leave the college after completing their graduation and post-graduation. Hence, the college along with the initiative of some enthusiastic past students formed an Alumni Committee in 2018. Since formation, the members of the alumni committee are actively helping in organizing various social activities and events along with the present students. Having a strong and supportive alumni network is pivotal for any educational institution. The college believes that alumni is their valuable asset and is constantly exploring new ways of engaging with alumni.
An alumni meet in the form of reunion was arranged to reminisce old times and to share about future talks and to catch up with old batch mates and memories of days that went by. Such alumni meets are very beneficial to both the present students as well as the alumni and the institution. The college can keep track of their alumni’s progress and can reach out for mentorship for its present students. The students can learn lot of things from their senior counterparts and even get guidance for their professional journey. It can be an excellent platform for alumni to build their leadership skills. Young alumni should volunteer time in this process. College believes that it is necessary to instill a sense of belongingness and loyalty in their students that will help in making students emotionally invested in their alma mater’s success, encouraging them to give back in the form of financial and non-financial means.
