26 January 

Our senior college organized a Poster Making Competition on 12th January 2026.
 The day is celebrated as National Youth Day to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. The program began with a Deep Prajwalan performed by our respected Vice Principal, Dr. Sonali Sathe Madam. After the inauguration, students delivered speeches and poems highlighting the life, thoughts, and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.
Dr. Sonali Sathe Madam then addressed the students, explaining the importance of National Youth Day and guiding them on how Swami Vivekananda’s ideals can inspire today’s youth.
Following her address, the Poster Making Competition was conducted.  students enthusiastically participated and presented creative posters reflecting the vision, values, and messages of Swami Vivekananda.
The program concluded successfully with active student participation and meaningful learning.

Teachers’ Day celebration

The Teachers’ Day celebration was organized in our college on 8th September 2025 with great enthusiasm and respect to honor the invaluable contribution of teachers in shaping the lives of students. The dignitary of the program was our Vice-Principal, Dr. Sonali Sathe.

The program commenced in the college auditorium, where the significance of Teachers’ Day was highlighted, and tribute was paid to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is commemorated on this occasion. Students expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards their teachers through poems, speeches, and cultural performances.
A special highlight of the celebration was the “Students as Teachers” activity. Selected students stepped into the role of teachers for the day, conducting lectures and managing classes. This initiative provided them with first-hand experience of the responsibilities of teaching and deepened their admiration for the efforts of the faculty.
The Vice-Principal, Dr. Sonali Sathe, also addressed the students with an inspiring and motivational speech, encouraging them to pursue excellence with dedication and sincerity.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks, marking the end of a memorable and meaningful celebration.

Ashadhi Ekadashi and Gurupournima Celebration Report

Our degree college joyfully celebrated Ashadhi Ekadashi and Gurupournima on 10th July 2025 at 9:00 a.m. in the college auditorium. The programme was graced by dignitaries, Chairman Shri Ekanath B. Madhavi Sir, Principal Dr. O.N. Nair Sir and Vice Principal Dr. Sonali Sathe madam along with other esteemed guests.
The event began with a traditional prayer and devotional songs that reflected the spiritual significance of Ashadhi Ekadashi. This was followed by a series of cultural performances by students, highlighting the values of devotion, humility, and the teacher-student bond central to Gurupournima.
Speeches delivered by the dignitaries emphasized the importance of these festivals in our cultural and academic lives.
The auditorium was filled with enthusiasm and reverence as both students and teachers actively participated in the celebrations, making the event memorable and spiritually uplifting.

E.B.Madhavi Sr. College organised an orientation programme for first year students of Commerce,Arts and B.Sc.IT streams on 3rd July 2025.The event began at 8.00 am.and was held at the college campus. The programme was graced by the presence of the principal, vice -principal , Teaching and Non-Teaching staff, who welcomed the new students. The session included an introduction to faculty members, an overview of syllabus, examination pattern and extracurricular activities. Students were encouraged to participate actively in both academic and co- curricular activities.During the session students took an oath that emphasized the importance of hard work and sincere efforts.The programme concluded with a vote of thanks.

International Yoga day

International Yoga day was celebrated by E.B.Madhavi Senior college of Arts, Commerce and Science on 21st June 2025 with great enthusiasm. Respected Principal Dr.O.N.Nair Sir and vice Principal Dr.Sonali Sathe Madam participated in the celebration.This year the theme for yoga day is ” Yoga for one earth, one health”. A team of Swami Vivekanand kendra, Kanyakumari, Dombivli Branch was invited for conducting yoga session.Yoga session started at 8.00 am .The yoga trainers demonstrate various assanas.These assanas were performed by students and teachers enthusiastically.The session ended at 9.15 am.

Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din was celebrated on 27th February 2025 at 10.30 am in the college auditorium. The dignitaries of today’s programme was respected Principal Dr.O.N.Nair sir and vice- principal Dr.Sonali Sathe madam.Students participated   enthusiastically in the programme.

Our college celebrated a fun fair on 18th January 2025. The event was graced by our respected principal and vice principal. It featured various food stalls and game stalls, providing a delightful experience for all attendees.

The fashion show in senior college was held on 17th January 2025 at college campus, showcasing the creative talent and fashion sense of the students. The event was graced by the presence of administrator of Madhavi Institution Mrs.Manasi kulkarni, Principal Dr.O.N.Nair and vice- principal Dr.Sonali Sathe.

On January 16th 2025, our college organised Traditional day , a vibrant celebration that showcased the cultural diversity and rich heritage.The event was held in college campus, where students, faculty and staff come together to celebrate various traditional customs, attire and performances.The event was graced by the presence of the principal and vice- principal.

Today, on January 15th, our senior college celebrated Bollywood Day with great enthusiasm. Various exciting competitions, such as Rangoli and a Quiz, were organized, and students actively participated in these events, showcasing their creativity and knowledge. It was a fun-filled day that brought the spirit of Bollywood alive on campus!

Our degree college organized cultural events under the name “Lakshya.” Today, on 13th January, we celebrated Saree and Tie Day. The function was inaugurated by our respected principal, Dr. O.N. Nair. Students participated enthusiastically in the event, showcasing great spirit and involvement

Our college has organised Art carnival dt 10 th January 2025, celebrating Twins day along with exciting competitions like mehendi and bottle painting. The “e-Ganesha” initiative involves creating Ganapati Bappa idols from electronic waste, a project undertaken by E. B. MADHAVI SENIOR COLLEGE students. This innovative approach combines artistic creativity with environmental consciousness, repurposing discarded electronic components into religious idols. The project not only provides a sustainable alternative to traditional idol-making materials but also raises awareness about electronic waste management. Through this effort, students aim to promote eco-friendly practices and inspire others to find creative solutions to environmental challenges.

Guru Purnima or Vyasa  purnima is the day to celebrate and pay our gratitude to our Gurus. Guru or Teachers are the ones who motivates the students to do better in every domain and help them to achieve goals.

          To honor the teachers, E.B.Madhavi senior college, IQAC committee along with cultural committee organized the occasion of Guru Purnima on 16th July, 2022. The function took place in the seminar hall. The programme started on schedule by 9.00 a.m. The occasion was graced by the presence of the Principal Dr. O.N.Nair Sir, vice Principal Prof. Sonali Sathe Madam and Primary Principal Mrs. Varsha Puranik Madam and other teaching staff. The function began with a prayer .After that, all the dignitaries are welcome by giving floral bouquet. A team of students presents flowers to all the teachers on the auspicious occasion of Gurupurnima. The function was earmarked with beautiful cultural performances. First of all, the students performed a beautiful group dance. It’s a mesmerizing performance. Many students delivered the speeches in which they expressed views about the role of Gurus in their lives. In the programme  some of the students sung Guru Stuti and Aarti. All these, highlighting the Gurus role in shaping the students life. One of the group of the students present Bharud. It is a very old poetic form. This art form is an educative as it is enjoyable. Bharud performance got a huge round of applause from all. All the dignitaries showered their blessings on the students by the pearls of wisdom. Our honorable principal sir encouraged the students to work hard if they want to make a strong and good career in life. He sung a melodious devotional song which spread a positive vibes among all. The whole function had a variety of  programmes which was liked by everyone.

The programme ended with the vote of thanks.

International Yoga day
(21st June 2022)

International yoga day is celebrated every year on the 21st june.
Yoga is a light which once lit will never dim, the better your practice the brighter  your flame. With this objective in mind, on 21 st june 2022 E.B.Madhavi Senior college celebrated yoga day by organizing a special yoga session, in which students, teachers along with principal , vice principal participated enthusiastically. A Special team of yoga instructors from swami Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, branch Dombivli, has been invited for the session.
         The theme of this year’s yoga day celebration is “ Yoga for Humanity”. This theme reflects the importance of yoga and how it benefits the masses in keeping safe and healthy during the outbreak of corona virus. The yoga session began by seeking the blessings of the Almighty with prayer. After that one of the student from Arts section Ms. Mrunmai, delivered the speech on yoga day. A group of students from commerce and Arts sections (Ms. Divya Tiruwa, Ms. Priti Gaikwad, Ms. Sakshi Khade, Ms. Riddhi Dalvi, Ms. Veena Toraskar, Ms. Neha More.)performed yoga dance were they demonstrated asanas.
  Yoga instructor, Rupali Godase Madam delivered the speech regarding Importance of yoga in day-to-day life. She explained that regular practice of yoga is the key to be fit and its essential to do it daily to keep your mind stress free. In this yoga session, warm-up exercises were taken and all the students performed seating and standing asanas. Different yoga postures like suryanamaskar,  tadasana, shashank asana were demonstrated. There were yoga teachers all around the students to help them in case they had any difficulty performing asanas. The session was very refreshing and relaxing.
          Our Honorable vice Principal Prof. Sonali Sathe encouraged the students to practice yoga on regular basis for a healthy body and mind. The session ended with a vote of thanks.
